Why CBC Exists
Commissioned by Christ forms Catholics through short-term mission experiences that integrate Catholic Social Teaching, sacramental life, and lived spirituality. Through encounter with Christ in the poor, participation in the sacraments, and the discipline of self-gift, missionaries are transformed and return home more deeply engaged in the life of the Church. Mission is not an escape from daily life—it is preparation to live the Gospel more fully within it.
What We Envision
We envision a Church where Catholics are formed through mission to recognize Christ in the poor, live the sacraments as the source of service, and carry a spirit of missionary discipleship into their parishes, families, and communities.
Called to Missionary Discipleship
We are Catholic lay men and women—parents, professionals, students, and retirees—who are called to live the Church’s mission in the midst of everyday life. Rooted in our baptism, we believe that mission is not reserved for a few, but is the vocation of all who follow Christ.
